Lack of gratitude from Jimmy family

-

In offering the Jimmy family a new car, Ford has, by implication, apologised to the family for the death of Reshall Jimmy. It is vexatious and inequitable to suggest that Ford offered a new R1 million vehicle to the family of the deceased for any other reason than a recompense.

The CEO of Ford, in fact, offered in good faith, a new car “to the value of R1 million” and also to settle the debt relating to the Kuga that was burnt.

“How dare you offer us a vehicle and think we’re going to be happy?” said a family member.

The Kuga saga was certainly unintentional.

However, the family has shown a lack of gratitude toward Ford’s gesture, giving credence to the adage “no good deed goes unpunished”. Northcliff
