2005
In a very tense but pulsating Test match, the Boks scored three tries against France’s four. When Bok fullback Percy Montgomery kicked a drop goal with 16 minutes left to give the Boks a 30-25 lead it was temporary relief as the French leftwing Julien Candelon scored in the 75th minute to tie the scores but replacement scrumhalf Dimitri Yachvili hit the upright with the conversion which could have secured a win for the French. The teams drew a second time in Durban following a 20-20 draw in 1993, while wing Bryan Habana (right) scored a brace of tries the third time in his last four Test matches. It was the sixth draw between the countries, the most against any other nation.
