Ferrero Rocha looks track and trip suited

- Trevor Reid

Most eyes will be on the Greyville meeting tomorrow, but the Kenilworth meeting, run at the same time, has a numbers of horses worth a bet.

Trainer Candice Bass-Robinson has her yard in good form and Ferrero Rocha could pop up at nice odds to win Race 6, a FM 64 Handicap over 1600m.

This Australian import has not been beaten far in her last three runs and all were from bad draws. Ferrero Rocha is much better drawn this time and it is worth noting that her only win to date was over this course and distance.

Her dangers appear to be Ashfahan, Riverboat Queen, Second Nature and Make The Magnet.

Earlier on the card there appears to be two good things. Blow In The Box and Hero Quest both look likely to get out the maiden ranks.

Blow In The Box, in Race 1, was a close up fourth on debut and did even better in his second start when runner-up behind Phelan Lucky.

This Lateral colt is clearly suited to this course and distance.

The combination of trainer Brett Crawford and jockey Corne Orffer hardly go a meeting without a winner and Hero Quest can take Race 4, a Maiden Plate over 2000m.

This Ideal World four-year-old gelding has been a big disappointing in that he has not won yet but the key to him winning could be the step up in distance. His opposition is only moderate.
