Student killer gets 20 years

The Sekgosese Regional Court on Thursday sentenced 19-year-old Dimakatso Surprise Mathemane to 20 years for killing 22-year-old University of Limpopo student Khomotso Mokgerere after robbing him of his tablet.

Police spokesperson Lieut-Col Moatshe Ngoepe said the incident happened in February last year.

The court sentenced Mathemane to 20 years for murder and 10 years for armed robbery. – ANA
