Play-off system is just not soccer

I don’t like the current play-off system used to determine which club gets promoted to the PSL and which one stays in the top league.

The PSL’s number 15 club had the opportunity to save their skin all season but failed. The NFD’s runner-up on the log worked harder than number three so why should they compete with them to go to the elite league?

My suggestion is straight demotion of the two bottom clubs from the PSL and outright promotion of the top runners in the NFD.
