Less kids are smoking in US

– Tobacco use among American middle and high school pupils – especially electronic cigarettes – declined sharply in 2016 from the year before following several years of strong growth, according to a study.

The number of pupils who said they had used a tobacco product in the past 30 days was 3.9 million in 2016, down from 4.7 million in 2015 – a 17% drop.

The tobacco users made up 27.4% of pupils. – AFP
