Queen B gives birth to twins
Multiplatinum-selling pop sensation and Grammy award-winning artist Beyoncé Knowles and her husband, award-winning rapper Shawn Corey Carter, better known as JayZ, have finally welcomed a new addition to their family.
Knowles and Carter made headlines back in February when she took to social media platform Instagram to announce her pregnancy of twins, which was well received by fans all over the world.
Last week, the couple also made headlines as they began preparations for a home birth at their Hollywood mansion.
According to the Daily Mail UK, the couple spent about £1 million (R16.4 million) converting their home into a private maternity ward.
The news of the birth follows just days after JayZ made news for his tweet dubbing former US president Barack Obama one of the best rappers of all time.
This was greatly received by Obama, who later took to Twitter to voice his appreciation.
Though the couple have not publicly announced the names of the newborn twins or their sex, reports of the successful delivery have been widespread.
