Officials up for fraud of R9.8m

Two senior officers in the Gasegonyane Municipality in the Northern Cape were charged with fraud estimated at R9.8 million.

Hawks spokesperson Captain Philani Nkwalase said yesterday the 39-yearold former senior employee was arrested on Tuesday. Another senior officer, 64, was arrested last week.

A probe revealed some irregularities with a service provider. – ANA
