Expect more from Mori in Ribblesdale Stakes

- London MAKE MAGIC WITH MORRICE

– MORI can underline her status as breeding perfectionised by completing a hat- track in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot today.

The Khalid Abdullah-owned filly is a daughter of Frankel and champion racemare Midday and it's difficult to even dream up a better blend of sire and dam than that.

Even though her racecourse career started with a modest effort at Nebury she has looked better in each of her subsequent two starts and is now ready to step up to the plate on racing's greatest stage.

Ryan Moore has piloted her in recent work but is claimed by Coolmore leaving Pat Smullen with the tastiest of spare rides.

It should be Stoute again when MIRAGE DANCER, another if Frankel's progeny, bids for the Hampton Court Stakes.

He made quite hard work of scoring on his belated juvenile debut at Doncaster but really caught the eye behind Cliffs Of Moher in the Dee Stakes at Chester, running on when the birds had already flown.

He didn't shine sufficiently in his final gallop ahead of the Investec Derby to be given the green light for the Premier Classic but has shone in subsequent visits to Long Hill and the Al Bahathri Polytrack.

In the Gold Cup, the eachway bet of the day is SWEET SELECTION.

Hughie Mirrison excels with his stayers and this mare is clearly progressing at a rate of knots judging by the way she dispatched her foes in the Sagaro Stakes here last month
