This movie chronicles the life and legacy of the prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist Tupac, who died at the age of 25. The movie explores his rise to notoriety, superstar status, his imprisonment, relationships and controversial time at Death Row Records.
Shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996, Shakur died from his injuries six days later in hospital.
His killers were never caught and the motive behind his death remains a mystery in the music and hip-hop community.
Producer LT Hutton said the movie shows all sides of Shakur, not just what the cameras wanted you to see.
“We needed to know how Tupac became Tupac, who Tupac was, who he wanted to be and who he had to be to survive the world he was introduced to,” said Hutton.
The movie is titled after Tupac’s 1996 fourth studio album of the same name, All Eyez On Me.
It stars Demetrius Shipp Jr as Tupac. The actor bears an uncanny resemblance to the late rapper; he’s also managed to capture his mannerisms accurately.
Kat Graham plays actress Jada Pinkett, one of Tupac’s best friends from the Baltimore School for the Arts.

Shakur’s raw talent, powerful lyrics and revolutionary mind-set made him a cultural icon.
