SA’s most entertaini­ng pet expo is back at Gallagher Estate from July 14 to 16.

From dancing dogs to prancing ponies, the World of Dogs and Cats and Pet Expo (Wodac) offers a full day of fun for families who love animals.

Wodac is a three-day pet expo with entertainm­ent. Take the kids to see dog dancing and magnificen­t horses on parade, meet celebrity pets and discover what breeds make the best pets.

With special feature areas for cats, dogs, horses, reptiles and exotic pets, you can interact with a huge range of pet breeds and buy treats and care products for your own pets.

There are ongoing demonstrat­ions and attraction­s at two arenas and a demonstrat­ion pavilion where you will see dog agility challenges and dog handling contests. View and learn more about koi fish and aquatic life, birds and reptiles; watch equine displays; and learn how to care for your pets. Speak to breeders and pet experts and engage with animal welfare organisati­ons if you are interested in adopting a new family member. The department of environmen­tal affairs will also provide interestin­g facts on invasive species in South Africa.

Entrance Fees: July 14, R75 per adults, pensioners and students, children under 12 enter at no charge. July 15-16, R100 per adult. Pensioners and students pay R80. Children under 12 pay R50, children under 2 enter at no charge.
