Man shot outside Maritzburg home

A man, believed to be in his mid to late 20s, was found dead outside his home in Edendale, Pietermaritzburg, on Tuesday evening.

According to ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak, shortly before 8pm, paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they were escorted to the home of the man by bystanders.

“Upon arrival, they found the man lying outside the entrance with a fatal gunshot wound to his face,” said Vermaak. Police are investigating. – Citizen reporter
