TOP COMEDY LINE-UP AT EMPERORS PALACE Morake rounds up some of funniest people in the business to tickle your fancy.
For those in need of a good laugh, head to Emperors Palace on Saturday, August 12 and check out Tumi Morake and seven of South Africa’s funniest comedians in a show that promises to keep audiences in stitches from start to finish.
Morake has rounded up a stellar line-up of her most talented friends in the comedy industry to join her on stage, including Alan Committie, Angel Campey and Sifiso Nene in Tumi and Friends.
“Queen of Comedy” Morake also hosts a radio breakfast show and she is an actress and brand ambassador.
Her edgy comedy has seen her headline a number of national and international comedy gigs since her career kicked off in 2006.
Presented by Blu Blood, the colourful group of comics joining Morake on stage include superstar Mpho Popps, who has headlined some of the biggest comedy shows in South Africa.
Ndumiso Lindi will also make an appearance, bringing his unique blend of modern and traditional comedy to the evening.
“Loveable Caveman” Committie, whose latest hit comedy show is Love Factually, and Campey, a relatively new face in the funny business, will also join in on the fun, along with the winner of the 2011 Nando’s Comedy Showdown, Lihle “Lindzy” Msimang, who brings a vibrant and colourful presence to the stage.
Durban-born Nene, winner of the first So You Think You’re Funny competition, in 2009, will also take to the stage to tickle funny bones, along with Tracey-Lee Oliver, whose talents as a comedian, musician and actress are bound to keep audiences enthralled throughout her set.
Tumi and Friends takes to the stage on August 12 at the Centre Court at Emperors Palace.
