Atruck and trailer auction was hosted by Park Village Auctions on August 4, which, according to LeRoy Augustyn of Park Village Auctions, is “indicative of positive agricultural sentiments all around”. Buyers were in good spirits, sharing their enthusiasm.

“We saw fantastic prices fetched on farm equipment across the board – a positive sign that farmers recognise the value for money that auctions offer and see auctions as a smart and sustainable way to re-invest in their farms,” explains Augustyn.

Furthermore, Augustyn believes that tractor sales will remain stable over the coming months as buyers are preparing for the 2017 planting season which starts in October.

“Overall, we enjoyed a great auction and have received positive feedback from all of buyers. There appears to be renewed faith and energy in the agriculture sector. One buyer even stated that he has “never had such a good year” which is incredible news on the back of all the droughts that struck our country. We remain hopeful that things will turn around in the Cape soon.”

PVA’s next truck and trailer auction is due to take place on Thursday, September 14 at 10.30am.
