Witch-hunt favours the opposition

-

Aplea has been made by Mpumalanga, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Northern Cape provinces to the Guptas to allow the ANC to govern.

This plea could not have been made if the ANC NEC, particularly Gwede Mantashe, pictured, did not “Mantash” on the activities of the Guptas.

As ANC secretary-general, he is aware that brave men like Jeff Maqeketula, Moe Shaik and Gibson Njenje were purged for spying legitimately on the Guptas.

Mantashe also knows why former head of the NPA Mxolisi Nxasana was axed.

To use Chief Luthuli’s words in today’s political context, ANC MPs who voted according to their consciences represent the “highest in morality and ethics” in our battle against the demon of corruption which is dividing the ANC and irritating the SACP and Cosatu.

Brave men and women in the SACP and Cosatu deserve the Isitwalandwe Award, which was presented to Chief Luthuli, Nelson Mandela and the Rivonia trialists Yusuf Dadoo, Monty Naicker, Joe Slovo, Harry Gwala, Trevor Huddleston and Ruth Mompathi. All MPs who resigned after the “Travelgate” scandal during the tenure of Thabo Mbeki were brought back in 2009 and all back Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma for the presidency, but brave MPs are going to be disciplined for demonstrating morality and ethics.

By witch-hunting these brave men and women, the ANC is assisting opposition parties to defeat it.
