Magic FC on a spree

-

A source at ABC Motsepe League side The Magic FC has revealed the club are planning to buy more experienced players following the acquisition of former Orlando Pirates striker Lennox Bacela and former Bidvest Wits midfielder Thando Mngomeni. The third-tier side from Cape Town is eager to get promotion to the National First Division and they believe luring more experienced players to the club will help them achieve their goal. “This is only the start, we are a very small team but there are major plans in the pipeline for the club to grow. The management is working hard to bring in the best players who will add value to the club. Lennox and Thando are very good players and have plenty of experience,” said the source.

Lebese happy to be at Downs

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger George Lebese (above) is said to be feeling at home and he believes he made the right choice by signing for Mamelodi Sundowns and his family is happy for him, according to a source close to the player. The source further revealed that Lebese has been seeking a move to his hometown club for the past three years having met with the Sundowns management before. “He is very happy with the move. He wanted to sign for them sometime in 2015, but Chiefs refused to release him. He grew up in Mamelodi and knows how much the people there wanted to see him in Downs colours. This move was long overdue and the management knew this. He was no longer giving his best performances at the club,” said the source.
