DStv programming drives viewer up the wall
Subscribers should be able to choose their own programmes, writes

We accept shoddy delivery from a R3 000 a share company (Naspers/DStv) in the following:
Every channel has a different audio level. A channel will show “no proper connection”, yet next door channel is connected.
Channel 408 (politics): every microphone has a different level, even silence.
Programme rotation: you get used to Seinfeld @ 4.45pm then, boom, next is 5.10pm. The same with #117 Cold Case – repeats are not in sequence.
In NYPD Blue for the past two years, does Sipowitz get his love?
Calibre of DStv staff (programmers) questionable. Queries are forwarded to “robots” – try talking to a human lodging a complaint.
The average subscription is between R500 and R650 pm with the various bouquets. Some repeats are back to back and then when you settle in, they revert to singles.
The audio also has tone differences with volume in every channel. Why not have a bouquet that you choose your programmes and pay accordingly?
A dedicated series channel to feature complete series and in complete order.
Last year, they had all three Lord of the Rings, but not in order.
