Baxter can’t shoulder all the blame

-

Ihave been watching Bafana Bafana games. They play very well but the only problem they are faced with is their finishing. For instance, in their game against Cape Verde they missed some clear chances, so how is that a coach’s fault?

Before we point fingers at Stuart Baxter, pictured, right, I think we have to start with Safa.

It’s about time that Safa did some introspection. It can’t be that when a coach is not doing well, Safa doesn’t shoulder some responsibility.

I have watched Safa changing coaches from Carlos Alberto Parreira, Joel Santana, Pitso Mosimane, Gordon Igesund to Shakes Mashaba. There is nothing wrong with the coaching deIn partment. It can’t be that all five previous coaches were bad, so surely there is something wrong with Safa? Safa must answer these questions:

Why our coaches don’t perform?

Are we in any way contributing to the poor results of Bafana Bafana? What can we do to make Bafana Bafana a better team? Do we give our coach our full support? How do we solve problems faced by the coach and team? How can we make South Africans proud of their team? I believe answers to the above questions will change our team. It pains me to watch with so few fans at the stadiums. Burgersfort
