Cosmos out to continue run

- Sibongiseni Gumbi

Jomo Cosmos will be looking for their second win in the National First Division when they play the division’s struggling newcomers Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila in Thohoyandou this afternoon.

Ezenkosi have become the team to watch in the NFD after playing some good football and scoring five goals against University of Pretoria in their last match two weeks ago.

Jomo Sono’s team are expected to collect all three points against Sello Chokoe’s struggling side who are yet to win a game.

Cosmos started their season with defeat to Highlands Park in their first game but turned the style with a 5-0 drubbing of Tuks and have vowed to continue on the same vein for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Mthatha Bucks will look to carry on their good run as they have declared this season as one to win promotion to the top flight.

Amathol’amnyama are in KwaZulu-Natal this afternoon where they face Richards Bay at 3pm.

Ian Palmer’s side have registered a 2-0 win over TTM and a 1-1 draw against Tuks in their first two matches and are third with four points.

In this weekend’s other big match, Royal Eagles will be looking to get their campaign on track when they host Stellenbosch FC at Harry Gwala Stadium this afternoon.

Eagles have just one point and collecting their first full batch against Stellenbosch could prove a hard task against Steve Barker’s side.
