Time to get rid of Allister Coetzee

-

All of us became passionate about Springbok rugby after the unbeaten run of six games earlier this year.

This proved to be a false dawn. The only reason we have improved is thanks to Brendan Venter and assistants. Head coach Allister Coetzee, pictured, can take very little credit for this.

Our administrators dropped the ball by giving him a four-year contract up front. He could just as easily have signed a one-year contract with a performance clause.

He was always going to be the wrong choice. Just look at his Stormers statistics. Lowest tries and bonus points in a season, two years running.

The Springboks were mediocre in every department and worst of all, the All Blacks read us like a book. They knew what we were going to do before we did it. We did not know what to do with the ball most of the game and those silly missed penalties and aimless kicking and missed tackles cost us badly.

There is very little positive to take out of 57-0, Allister! At least stop using useless rhetoric. If you had any pride, you would have resigned. Funny how Elton Jantjies always plays his worst under you.

We are two years away from the next World Cup and we need a new coach. Someone who can get results, like Eddie Jones did immediately with England.

Anyone but this passenger head coach.
