Everton have been surprisingly awful this season under Ronald Koeman and the Toffees face another tough test this evening when they take on Olympic Lyonnais in the Uefa Europa League at Goodison Park.

Lyon have lost only once this season in all competitions, and should be in great spirits after a 3-2 Ligue 1 win over Monaco last Friday night. Everton, on the other hand, needed a late Wayne Rooney penalty to draw at Brighton last Sunday in the Premier League, with Koeman’s side still failing to fire despite all the money spent in the off-season.

I expect the French side, with young attacking talents like Nabil Fekir and Bertrand Traore, to edge this one.
