Every year the Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile sees a host of South Africa’s best-loved celebrities descend upon Turffontein Racecourse for an event that gives back in a unique way.

The race takes place on November 4 and is the perfect opportunity to dress up and come celeb-spotting.

The event sees celebrities cheer home the stars of the turf as their finishing positions in the Charity Mile (Gr 2) to determine what portion of the R1-million goes to their respective charities.

The concept is a simple one: 16 horses are paired with 16 celebrities, charities and media partners and everyone unites on the day to support one common goal which is to support those less fortunate.
