MATCH-BY-MATCH GUIDE

-

M1 Exeter v Bath: Two teams that have been in excellent form in the AVIVA Premiership, but Exeter could hold the aces. One needs to remember that these two teams will welcome back a number of international players to add plenty of spice to the fixture. M2 Wales v South Africa: There is not much that one can read into South Africa’s easy win over Italy last weekend. Italy have simply gone backwards and do not look good enough to trouble anybody at the moment. Wales may have lost heavily to New Zealand last weekend, but will fancy their chances. South Africa have lost Duane Vermeulen, Francois Louw and Franco Mostert to international commitments. That will take a huge chunk out of the forwards despite the return of Siya Kolisi. It will be tight but Wales are tipped. M3 Wasps v Leicester: Before a ball was kicked, Wasps would have been high on the list of fancied winners of the AVIVA Premiership. That has not gone according to plan with them in sixth, two places behind Leicester who are coming back to their old ways. Play wide. M4 Munster v Ospreys: Munster should win and win well. Munster went to Italy and beat Zebre comfortably in what can be a banana-skin fixture. Ospreys were thumped 47-6 by Glasgow in Wales last weekend. One team is in top form, the other is not. M5 Cheetahs v Scarlets: This should be a good match between two teams who are in form. The Cheetahs easily overcame Edinburgh while the Scarlets kept their top form intact by knocking over the Kings in the last minute in Port Elizabeth on Sunday. Play wide. There should be a lot of points scored. Suggested R180 perm for the Rugby 5 pool this Saturday (pool closes 16:00): M1 = 1, 2, 3; M2 = 1, 3; M3 = 1, 3, 4; M4 = 2; M5 = 1, 2.
