s a parent, I am concerned about the safety of our children at school. Our school grounds have become battlefields where scholars, our own kids, fight each other.

The teacher/scholar violence is also a big concern.

Our children have become unruly and it becomes a big mountain to climb when you want to call them to order.

They have become bullies that carry scary and dangerous weapons to school.

It should be said that nobody is safe there, even the security guards and the teachers are not safe from external intruders.

Our government, and especially the department of education, should try and intervene before we have any more deaths on our school grounds.

Also, our teachers should be trained to be able to deal with these unruly pupils and we need to help those unruly pupils.

We need to check with their families and see if they are just being naughty and influenced by their peers or they are pushed by their home background.

At the end of the day, we want to combat this violent behaviour because it really is a big concern.

Our kids are not safe anymore and that means we, as parents, live in fear, asking ourselves daily if our kids will come back home safely.

It is a bad thing to hear that your child was stabbed or beaten up at school. A school should be a safe place to send your kids.
