Kaizer Chiefs take on Mamelodi Sundowns this evening in a game in which Steve Komphela’s side have, of late, had the edge over Pitso Mosimane’s men.

Chiefs won last year’s two league meetings between the sides 2-1, even though it is Masandawana who have certainly had the better results across local football for some time, and who currently top the Absa Premiership.

Chiefs have enjoyed a good start to 2018 in the league, and have cut Sundowns’ lead at the top to just five points, heading into this game. They seem to have signed players in January that will strengthen them, with Siphelele Ntshangase looking bright and Leonardo Castro already scoring an important winner against Baroka FC. Sundowns have also bought well, but have been strangely inconsistent in recent matches and I am backing Chiefs to win.
