Support Montecasino cancer Shavathon

Here’s your chance to show your support for cancer survivors or those afflicted with the disease. Join the two-day Montecasino Cansa Shavathon where visitors, guests, and staff will have the opportunity to be a part of this popular fundraising initiative and offer their heads to be sprayed or shaved. Adding their strong support to the cause is Jacaranda FM, which will broadcast live from the Montecasino Shavathon, taking place on the Casino promotional stage near Skoobs on Saturday and Sunday, February 24 and 25, from 10am to 3pm. Prizes will up for grabs, every hour, for lucky Shavathon participants throughout the two days. This year marks the Cancer Association of South Africa's 15th Shavathon, which is one of South Africa’s best-loved events for a worthy cause.

Head-shaving has become a symbolic gesture in support of cancer survivors, and for those who cannot shave, colouring hair brightly has also become just as popular.

“Come and support Cansa with us at Montecasino, share in the shaving or spraying experience with other visitors, stand a chance to win a great prize, and inspire others by showing that you care,” said Montecasino general manager Mike Page.
