Safa stance slammed

Former Orlando Pirates legend Edward Motale (above) has slammed the football fraternity for not giving former footballers the chance to compete for the Safa presidency. Motale claims that Jomo Sono called for former players to hold key positions at Safa, but was ignored. “Jomo said this long ago but no one listened to him,” he told “Jomo said we need to have footballers in charge of Safa because they know how football works. This is why we are failing at national level,” he added.
