Bok coach must change mindset

What is it with all our Springbok coaches? The Lions are currently top of the combined Super Rugby log but only 10 players from their franchise get invited to the national camp. However, 12 from the Stormers get the invite.

How can the media and commentators keep talking about Handre Pollard and Damian Willemse for the Bok No 10 jersey?

How many times did Elton Jantjies, pictured, prove to be the mercurial pivot with his lightning speed passing, kicking and controlling the game?

No other flyhalf is faster off the mark. Every game the Lions played the Bulls, Stormers and Sharks he always stood way above his opposite number.

Then you get a guy like Franco Mostert that comes off the bench for the Boks because players like Eben Etzebeth and Pieter-Steph du Toit are picked on reputation. These two Stormers locks are injury prone and for the past four years have never completed a Super Rugby season.

Siya Kolisi, Damian de Allende and Dillyn Leyds were never in the game on Saturday but these weak players must be selected in the Bok team.
