No tie better describes the hunger for European football next season than the clash between Burnley and Chelsea tonight.

Burnley are in search for a European return after more than half-a-century’s absence. Sean Dyche’s charges are placed two points behind Arsenal on the English Premier League table and their target is to overtake Arsene Wenger’s Gunners to sixth place in order for them to qualify for next season’s Europa League.

While for Chelsea, they are looking at the bigger picture in the form of the more prestigious Champions League. The Blues are eight points behind local rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who occupy the Champions League play-off spot.

Burnley recorded a fifth consecutive victory in the league last time out, while Chelsea have been blowing hot and cold. As such, I see Burnley edging the Blues in this one.
