Tropical storm grounds planes

-

SA Airways (SAA) yesterday cancelled two flights to and from Mauritius due to severe tropical storm Fakir.

The Mauritius Meteorological Services forecast that Fakir was going to bring hazardous sea and weather conditions yesterday and was expected to pass about 120km to the south-west of Mauritius.

“SAA will operate a bigger aircraft, the A340-600, tomorrow [today] to ensure our customers reach their destinations,” it said. – ANA
