Perennial trophy winners Manchester United can allbut guarantee themselves the runners-up spot in the English Premier League with a victory this evening at the Amex Stadium against Brighton in the English Premier League.

Jose Mourinho’s side have already secured qualification for next season’s Uefa Champions League, with their three remaining league games also about the players’ auditioning for a place in the starting line-up for the FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on May 19.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Republic of Ireland fullback Chris Hughton’s Brighton are on the brink of securing their Premier League safety for a further season, and a win on the south coast would take them to that magical total of 40 points.

I expect Brighton to put up a good fight at home, but I am convinced an in-form United will come away with the spoils.
