PE courier is hijacked, robbed

A courier truck off-loading stock outside Walmer Park Shopping Centre in Port Elizabeth was hijacked yesterday morning.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said it is alleged the driver and his passenger were off-loading parcels when they were accosted by three men, two armed, shoved in the van and driven to Charlo where cellphones were taken. A case of hijacking and abduction is under investigation. – ANA
