New home for Sixhaso

-

Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Luthando Sixhaso has found a new home at new National First Division (NFD) side TS Galaxy. Sixhaso was once seen as a prospect who would emulate Itumeleng Khune at Amakhosi but things didn’t go as he would have hoped and was loaned out to Cape Town All Stars last season but his contract was not renewed and he had to find a job elsewhere. “He is at Galaxy and I heard he has already signed. He will be the No.1 keeper there and this is a great opportunity for him to live up to his potential,” said a source on the 24-year-old Cape Town born keeper. Galaxy are owned by former player agent Tim Sukazi.

Highlands to help Maccabi out

Highlands Park will be loaning some of their players to new National First Division team Maccabi so they can get some game time. A source has told that the first player sent to Maccabi was Sandile Khwela (above). “He has joined Maccabi. The coaches wanted to release him but management like the boy and so they disagreed. They have since sent him out to Maccabi where they hope he can do well and convince Owen da Gama that he is quality. He was unfortunate with injuries last season so he didn’t make much contribution to the team, but I believe the move to Maccabi will be good for him,” said the source.
