Win A Home, the return

-

South Africa’s very own interior design reality TV show is back in its fifth season.

The producers of Win A Home are currently searching for three pairs of aspiring interior designers to partake as contestants in this year’s design challenge. The show will air on Thursday nights on SABC3 from September 20.

This season will be filmed in the Western Cape, with three new Design Duo contestants decorating three identical penthouse apartments at Paardevlei Lifestyle Estate in Somerset West, competing for a R100 000 grand prize.

The fifth season sees Win a Home partnering with Balwin Properties as well as a number of exciting sponsors.

Three of the country’s leading home décor magazine editors will again be offering inspiration and direction to the Design Duo. Each of the three design pairs will be assigned a magazine title, which will guide them through the entire process and will each do a feature spread on their mentees’ completed apartment.

This is an opportunity for passionate and qualified interior designers, with less than five years of professional experience, to make their mark in the industry.

Win a Home launched the careers of previous winners Donald Nxumalo in 2014; Jacoline Sema (2015); Rudolph Jordan (2016); Brad Muttitt and Abiah Mahlase who impressed in last year’s show.

Any qualified interior designer over the age of 18 may enter.

Design Duos can consist of any combination – parent and child, siblings, couples, or friends.

At least one contestant of the Design Duo must hold a tertiary degree in design or a related creative field – architecture, fine art, product design, interior decoration or architecture, fashion design or art direction.

A partner must hold a valid South African driver’s licence and own transport. – Citizen reporter
