Time for a new political party in SA

-

Witnessing the goings-on of the main political parties, it’s hard to believe they’re facing an election next year. Both the ANC and DA are so intent on fighting inter-party fires that they’re neglecting crucial issues affecting the community at large.

The common voter will soon be asked to decide which party to send to parliament, but there’s no clear indication which one is the better of the two.

President Cyril Ramaphosa, pictured, is facing a backlash from Jacob Zuma supporters, some of whom are still on the national executive committee.

Is he able to survive after the election? If not, the ANC will continue to fall from grace.

The DA, with the mayoral affair, and other leadership squabbles, are clouding the issue.

If it cannot sort out its own petty troubles, how can it govern a country in deep trouble?

Given this state of flux, it’s an ideal time for the establishing of a brand new party made up of honest and competent people to come up with workable and sustainable policies that will engender hope
