Sevilla have a one goal advantage heading into the second leg of the Europa League third-round qualifiers against Lithuanian outfit Zalgris tonight.

The Spanish team were able to unlock a tight Zalgris only once, winning the tie 1-0 at home.

Zalgris have proved to be a strong side, particularly their defence, having made it this far in the competition after knocking out Faroese KI 3-2 on aggregate and Liechtenstein’s Vaduz 2-1 on aggregate.

Sevilla, meanwhile, made it this far after a comfortable 7-1 aggregate victory over Upjest in the previous round. They come into this game having lost the Spanish Super Cup to Barcelona, but that shouldn’t be a major blow for them.

And they remain favourites to progress to the next stage of the competition, where they are to meet either Kairat Almaty or Sigma Olomouc in the playoffs.
