Astylish and upmarket lodge and game farm, which operated as the well-known Witwater Safari Lodge and Spa, will come under the hammer with loose assets and game at a public auction by Van’s Auctioneers on Wednesday, November 7 at 11am.

There are three farm portions which will be offered individually and then together.

The first lot, situated on approximately 1 480 hectares, is the upmarket lodge, which has eight en-suite luxury rooms, three luxury en-suite suites, four safari tents and three river units that accommodate four persons each.

The lodge also has a self-catering house with four en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, living area, outside braai area and splash pool.

The improvements make up a total of just more than 5 000m².

This beautiful lodge has an impressive reception and lounge area, boardroom, conference facilities, restaurant, bar, swimming pool and worker’s quarters.

The very luxurious spa features a heated indoor pool, sauna, various treatment rooms and a pool with an amazing view over the farm and the river.

It has about six kilometres of fronting on the Phalala river, three boreholes, a 3m game fence and 100KVA Eskom electricity.

Lot 2 is the game farm, Jeannetta-Haar-Loop. Almost 1 500ha, it is a typical game farm with randjies, koppies and indigenous plants and trees.

It has an old house and a Vodacom/MTN tower that produces a monthly income of R12 000.

This farm is rich in water and has about 5.6km frontage on the Phalala river which meanders through the border of the farm.

The farm Vogelvlei, which is 436ha, will be offered as Lot 3.

Water rich, it has various natural springs that feed the Jonkmans Spruit and dams.

All the farms have 2.4m to 3m game fencing.

Loose assets will be offered as one lot, as will the game viewers and game.
