Feyenoord are chasing a second Eredivisie title in three seasons after being crowned Dutch champions in the 2016/17 campaign.

And “The Club of The People” will face VVV-Venlo tonight in search of their fifth win on the spin, after knocking over log-leaders PSV Eindhoven.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team are third in the standings and have a great opportunity to reduce PSV’s lead to seven as they welcome the mid-table campaigners.

Feyenoord have the upper-hand. They have been in-form in front of goal and quite solid at the back, having conceded just 14 league goals so far. PSV and Ajax Amsterdam – first and second respectively – are the only two sides to have conceded fewer goals.

Venlo have not beaten Feyenoord in their own backyard in the last decade and while it is not entirely impossible for the “Yellow Army” to muster a win away from home, the odds are stacked against them.

They will probably leave the De Kuip stadium empty-handed.
