In biblical times Werder Bremen would be the proverbial sacrificial lamb tonight as they visit Borussia Dortmund for a Bundesliga game at Westfalenstadion.

Bremen play Dortmund with Lucien Favre’s side in top form, having won their last five games in the Bundesliga and fresh from snatching top spot in the Uefa Champions League from right under Athetico Madrid’s nose midweek following a 2-0 win over Monaco.

However, writing off Bremen just because they have won just one in their last five matches could be a big mistake. It would be like those who didn’t think Baroka could tip the scales and beat Orlando Pirates last weekend.

But it would also be foolish for any punter to bet against Dortmund who are favourites for the championship, having opened a sevenpoint gap at the top already.

I will give this one to Dortmund as an easy and routine win.
