A win for Crisford runner will come as no surprise

- London

– Last Surprise can secure her third win of the year in the George Stubbs Fillies' Conditions Stakes at Leicester today.

Simon Crisford's charge was victorious on her debut back in June, prompting a swift rise in class to tackle the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, where she finished last of the 25 runners.

Her next outing at Windsor did not offer too much encouragement either, but a 75-day break clearly did her the world of good as she returned in triumph at Chelmsford in September, defying a penalty in the process. Giving weight to all but one of her rivals at Newmarket on her most recent start, Last Surprise did not run too badly at all in a competitive handicap to finish third and her subsequent mark of 87 puts her ahead of this field.

Raydiance could not make his mark at Ascot recently but might find the Wreake Handicap more to his liking.

The four-year-old has three wins to his credit - with two of those successes coming with plenty of cut in the ground, which bodes well for this contest.

He finished down the field in a competitive Ascot handicap just over a week ago and now sits on his lowest ever mark, a fact he might be able to exploit in an event like this.

X Force sets a fair standard in the 32Red.com Nursery Handicap at Kempton. The Archie Watson-trained youngster has won the last two of his four stats, both of those victories coming on the all-weather.

His latest performance was his most impressive yet, on his first try at 1200m and first appearance since a gelding operation. There looks to be more to come yet.

Model Guest has been knocking on the door and could finally enjoy her moment in the spotlight in the 32Red Handicap. George Margarson's runner is still a maiden after 12 starts, but that lack of a win is not for the want of trying and six placed efforts show she is good enough to be mixing it at the finish.

Third last time at Ascot, Model Guest never really looked like troubling the first or second but showed plenty of determination at the end of a mile to grab minor honours.

She has dropped another couple of kilos since that run and can at least be relied upon to put her best foot forward.

Tambourine Girl can make it third-time lucky in the 32Red Casino/British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Placed on each of her outings to date, she has tried to make all only to find one or two too good at the line. –
