Time to finally get shot of the ANC

-

Both the ANC and DA have been enveloped in in-fighting, and have been spending far too much time finding some sort of unification in their ranks.

The ANC hasn’t been able to stop the internal strife, but at least the DA has realised to remain an effective opposition, it will have to take drastic action. And it has.

Bringing Helen Zille, pictured, back into the fold is a master stroke because considering the dearth of quality leadership (in both parties), she is the ideal candidate. Her track record over the years is adequate proof.

Put another way, name any politician who can wrest the country from the mire caused solely by the governing party?

As a black party, the ANC has failed black people. As a white party, the DA, even in opposition, and where it governed in the Cape and at municipal level, did a far better job addressing the needs of all colours.

Surely the time has come for the dropping of divisive words and to vote for a party with the nation’s interest at heart. Whether a parliamentarian is black or white it matters not, as long as he or she is qualified for the job.

The ANC has little or no exceptional leaders (in fact, it still harbours a crooked core).

The DA (as well as other opposition parties) has some intelligent people around. A coalition of these would be ideal.

The ANC must not be allowed another chance. The coming municipal elections are a lastditch chance at getting shot of it, once and for all.

The nation at large will rejoice and sleep peaceful at last.
