Mboweni says we have to “create a culture of payment”. The ANC must be short of corruption money.

Graham S

Tito says we must pay for e-tolls to instil a culture of paying for services. Does this include taxis who use the road to make money and don’t even pay income tax? If taxis pay, I pay. Finish and klaar.

Rashid

Government needs to cut the state wage bill so why don’t they start by getting all the over-60s sitting around in parliament and all other government entities to retire? I’m sure they will receive a good pension if you look at what the other disgraced public officials have received over the years.

So, the fat cats will have to go on a strict, long-term diet. They must get off their cushions and catch some thieving political rats. Not likely? What then? Necessity is the mother of invention.

Now Tito Mboweni wants to punish taxpayers for the precarious situation that his ANC caused through theft and corruption!

Nicky Oelofse

Before asking citizens to pay e-tolls and other taxes, Mr Mboweni must prove that action has been taken against all who have been involved in theft.

Ronnie

Mboweni, if e-tolls must be paid, tell Soweto residents to settle their electricity bills. Then we can talk.

Jerry Masekoa

Per Ardua

The real unemployment rate in South Africa is nearly 40%. It will just get worse with the SA economy shrinking and the collapsed state education system where almost 60% don’t finish school. Thank the corrupt ANC government.

Mark

Des du Triou, God bless you! May all your wishes come true. I am with you all the way.

Lorraine F

Herman Mashaba, thank you for the effort in making Joburg a better city to live in. To all your staff, well done.
