GETTING READY: LOOKING TO BOOK HER PLACE IN THE FILLIES GUINEAS

Fayd’Herbe and Domeyer could lead punters to winners.

Exciting prospect Dynastic Light can be expected to book her Fillies Guineas spot by winning Race 5, a FM 74 Handicap over 1800m at Kenilworth tomorrow.

Glen Kotzen currently has a few very talented three-year-old females, and this one looked right up there when scoring a crushing maiden win a month ago. She quickened with real authority to put away a decent field by almost four lengths. That margin in no way fully reflects her superiority, as Morne Winnaar eased her down well before the line.

Bernard Fayd’Herbe now picks up the ride with the coming big race in mind. The crack heavyweight has been in the winner’s box regularly since a recent return from injury and aided by a perfect draw that trend seems certain to continue.

This Dynasty filly would be a shock loser.

Fayd’Herbe also makes winning appeal a race earlier, but Dragon Power is more of a value bet in Race 4, a MR 94 Handicap over 1000m, which appears a wide-open affair.

Aldo Domeyer has also recently boosted the Cape riding ranks after a stint in Hong Kong and his best winning opportunity comes in Race 2.

Turn It Up Harvey has been runner up to a couple of decent sorts recently and looks a clear winner on exposed form.

There is an obvious improver though. Tillieangus has produced a couple of fair sprints, and this full brother to Black Arthur now goes over a more suitable distance in his first run after gelding.

Richard Fourie’s mount will put up plenty of resistance if racing fit after two months off.
