The SA Tourism board should buy Minister Lindiwe Sisulu a one-way ticket to London so she can watch Spurs every week.

Julius Malema’s post on Twitter regarding the national shutdown on 20 March never received one favourable reply at all. When will he get the message that his EFF is nothing but hot air?

Referring to Anon’s letter on yesterday’s The Citizen, I had the same problem. When I asked for a tax invoice as I did not have medical aid, so I can claim tax refund I got nasty looks. It appears that they put the cash in their pockets and don’t declare it. I can’t prove it so I also want to be Anon.

The biggest and most destructive enemy of SA is the arrogant, useless and self-entitled ANC that pretend to know they can govern, but mess up everything they try to control.

The sheer arrogance of the ANC is beyond comprehension. The state of disaster that they now want to declare is not a surprise to any thinking person. This country has been in a state of disaster of one sort or another the past decade or so. That they, the ANC, have now officially declared Eskom to be in such dire straights is mind-boggling. We all knew this years ago. Gary McLean

Gwede Mantashe is to the energy crisis what Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma was to Covid, what Bheki Cele is to policing and security and what the ANC is to South Africa and its people … a wrecking ball, out of control. The possibility of another state of disaster is a disaster. Another looting frenzy on the state coffers prior to looming elections. Mazit

Wondering if we can wear peepholed shoes if we go into state of disaster for Eskom?

I find it ridiculous that Dane van Niekerk is left out the World Cup because she didn’t run two kilometres in a certain time. If you run 50 metres on a cricket ground you will have jumped a fence and dodged a few spectators. This is ridiculous and so wrong. She has by far the best stats of any of the ladies. Do this at your peril. Protea fan

I am not a smoker, but find that the laws and the new ones regarding where one can smoke, that the government want to bring in, is ridiculous. Soon there will be nowhere for smokers to enjoy their cigarettes. I know that smoking is not good for one’s health, but none of the metro police anywhere have taken vehicles off the road that belch out thick black smoke. This used to be done and the belching stopped. I often drive behind one of these vehicles and cough all the time. I feel this is far more dangerous that cigarette smoke.
