Zwane tops the Bafana player ratings in Namibia thrashing

-

After Bafana Bafana’s resounding 4-0 win over Namibia on Sunday, Tshepo Ntsoelengoe rates the performance of Bafana’s players.

The Bafana skipper hardly had action in the game, with the Namibians only getting one shot on target from four attempts. Either way, with the set-pieces they got, Williams was well on guard.

The right-back was on top of his game, going up and down the wing and managing to block any threat from Namibia.

The Sundowns defender had the Namibian attackers in his pocket, especially their dangerman Peter Shalulile, who is his team-mate at Sundowns.

Kekana put up great display at the back for the team and managed to combine well with Mvala to stop the Namibian attackers. He even contributed to Themba Zwane’s first goal.

He was not as effective as he was in the first game, but he still put in a great performance at left-back.

Mokoena was bossing the midfield and he was linking well with the rest of his team-mates. He took total control of the midfield, making Namibia struggle to play, and also produced a brilliant assist for Thapelo Maseko’s goal.

Another excellent performance from “Yaya” in the heart of the midfield. He barely made any mistakes and was the bridge between the defenders and attackers.

He was brave enough to take the penalty that gave Bafana the lead, having missed the spot kick during the Mali game

Morena made huge impact in the game, winning the penalty and providing an assist for the second goal after running down the right-flank before spotting Zwane inside the Namibia box.

The experienced midfielder (right) put in an outstanding performance which came with two goals. He was even named the official Man-of-the-Match.

Makgopa might not have had many chances to score in the match, but he had a decent game and provided an assist for Zwane’s second goal of the tie after a good lay-off to the Downs attacking midfielder.
