African leaders, be aware that donor countries providing aid are making a sacrifice. A show of appreciation and report back of how the donation was utilised to the benefit of the population goes a long way to validate the sacrifice. Merely needing a donation is not an entitlement.

While one cannot condone the killing of innocent children and other Palestinians who are not actively involved in the fighting in Gaza, as the saying goes: if you play with fire you can get burned. When Hamas launched their attack on Israel on 7 October, they would have known that Israel would respond with all their might. Now pro-Palestinians/ Hamas supporters want the rules changed because of the consequences.

Isaac Mashaba’s excellent opinion piece, ‘A letter Cyril won’t read’, refers: he is right on point, regarding President Cyril Ramaphosa and his ANC. They have failed the people with empty promises. If the ANC wins the election, it will be the sad end for South Africa.
