Aprominent Limpopo-based operator in sawn pine products, Shefeera Timbers, now in business rescue, will be sold as a going concern. That’s the news from Park Village Auctions’ (PVA) Clive Lazarus, who says the sale represents an excellent opportunity for investors.
“Most businesses sold under the banner of business rescue simply need a capital injection to continue operating – enabling investors to see faster returns from an established business. Not to mention the opportunity to keep the workforce employed,” says Lazarus.
The sale comprises property and assets related to sawn pine timber operations, including creosote- and CCA-treated pole production, wood pallet manufacturing, and timber and hardwood retailing.
PVA is inviting offers on the assets as follows:
Erf number 2716, 39 Grobler Street, Louis Trichardt (Makhado), Limpopo, (measuring 10.4132ha) taking the form of a large stand featuring office buildings, cloakrooms, staff ablutions, workshops, storerooms, sheds, and a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, residential dwelling with a garage, equipped borehole, cement dam, carports and a security office.
Assets to be sold as one lot comprising a double-edge saw, a multi-rip saw, board edger, and cross-cut saw; Creosote and CCA plants with autoclaves and tanks; a CKM finger joint line; an Australian Mizer mobile saw mill with frame and sharpening device; Kupfer Muhler planer/moulders, a diameter finger joint line, and IWC double-edge planer with a multi-rip saw; a Wadkin table saw, Jonsereds thicknesser and a Stenner hyper vertical band saw; boilers and kiln plant; extraction and other various sawmill-related assets; workshop equipment; a compressor; and office furniture and miscellaneous equipment.
Vehicles, including Ford and Mazda bakkies, Bell log handlers, a super forklift, log trailers, and Nissan Diesel, MAN and Mercedes Benz trucks.
