Du Plessis is right to criticise ANC

-

There is an outcry against Dricus du Plessis as he dared to criticise the ANC government after he won his title fight. Of the objections raised on Radio 702 and Wesley Botton, who featured in Saturday Citizen last weekend, where he said he should be an ambassador for South Africa and not criticise the government.

Botton makes an issue that Du Plessis said the ANC is the most corrupt government in the world and he disagrees there are other African countries that are more corrupt.

The issue is not who is most corrupt. Corrupt is corrupt and believe me, if there were world championships for who is most corrupt, the ANC government will certainly be on the podium.

Du Plessis loves his country, his sport, his people, his flag and is certainly an ambassador for

South Africa as far as his sport is concerned. He is not criticising our country but the corrupt government. Don’t forget it’s the ANC government, with its draconian, racist affirmative quota systems and political interference that caused damage to a lot of our sport, as talent and skill is not ANC criteria.

But when we won the Rugby World Cup, President Cyril Ramaphosa was the first in line to share the limelight. He had no place there when the trophy was handed to captain Siya Kolisi.

Be assured everybody in this country has had enough and gatvol of the corrupt, racist, incompetent destructive ANC.

Read The Citizen on a daily basis and you see mass criticism weekly against the party.

I support Du Plessis with what he said. Many sportsmen will follow suit in the future. Judge
