Headline: ANC MP says load shedding no big deal. Where do they find these idiots? One could believe that the powers that be scour the country’s mental institutions for suitable personnel to fill their ranks.

Neil

Unfortunately a Trump victory is a threat to the whole world as he only cares for himself.

The only “rule of law” in SA is perhaps a court order. Does not apply to government. They ignore even those. Government is too weak, corrupt, without backbone, immoral, etc. to act against themselves to uphold laws.

Love the way Eskom and City Power refer to load shedding increases as “upgrades”, and decreases as “downgrades”. I was taught that upgrades are improvements, and downgrades are impairments. An attempt by them to bluff the public, perhaps? Philly

President Ramaphosa, while amendments to immigration visas to attract necessary skilled persons to this country are welcome, surely you should first be trying your best to retain the skills SA is losing on a daily basis due to BBEEE, onerous restrictions on businesses and poor economic growth as a result of corruption, crime and populist policies?

Dear Old Liz – the problem is you can’t see clearly that Naledi Pandor’s educated stance may be the result of your ageing and failing eyesight.

Following what’s happening in our politics, I just can’t get over the fact that people still keep voting themselves into poverty. They vote for people that have built nothing and wonder why nothing is built. Martin F

So, after shooting her mouth off about Israel, the not so honourable Naledi Pandor now needs extra protection. I thought the blue light brigades were for that. Or are they just for vanity? Andrew

Just a thought: we use windmills to pump water, why not adapt them to generate electricity? Guppy

Pandor must realise it is not ANC money she is using for her crusade in Palestine. It is taxpayers’ money, which would be better spent at home. As for her south protecting the north story, the world must be in hysterics over her and the ruling party’s stupidity.

Come on Cyril. Surely third place (50th in the world) for Bafana at Afcon is deserving of another holiday. I was looking forward to another day fishing – and think of the votes it will pull. Don
