Everything the ANC touches turns to rubbish

- Guppy.

There are no success stories, just corruption and maladministration, writes

The opinion piece under the headline “ANC is a victim of its own success” refers. Thembinkosi Zondi, are you and I living in the same country? We must appreciate the progress made by government. What progress?

Everything the ANC has touched has turned to rubbish. Eskom is a disaster where, before, it produced reliable and cheap electricity. The railways are hardly functioning, and now we have hundreds of side tipper trucks delivering heavy goods and destroying our road infrastructure.

The Post Office is now a nonfunctioning entity. Our Air Force, once the strongest, south of the Sahara, is now nothing but a flying club.

Our Navy is now a boat club, and the Army, well it is a joke.

SA was once the biggest producer of gold. Now we are in second or third place – and so the list goes on.

Regarding employment, the economy needs to improve, because if it does not, how can the private sector employ people?

The trouble is, you are blinded by your loyalty to the ANC. The long and the short of it is that the ANC has failed its citizens. There are no success stories, just corruption and maladministration.

Sadly, you and the government always harp on the same theme, namely apartheid. It is called “the blame game”. If you fail, blame it on apartheid.
